Finding Promotional Talent who Fit the Part
Sometimes a stand with bold branding, approachable staff and a few freebies isn't quite what companies are looking for to promote their brand or latest products. A promotional event is far more than just being present and promoting your brand, and it’s important that you make a lasting impression with your target market.

Last year, we were approached by our client Fox’s Biscuits to provide two actors for a publicity stunt. Fox’s hosted a competition on Facebook where the lucky winner received a hamper of Fox’s biscuits, presented by Vinny the Panda’s “boys”. Our mission was to find two actors who fitted the parts of the mafia leader and muscled sidekick. They had to be Italian in nationality, and had to have great acting skills in order to stay in character, be convincing and improvise well. Using our database of promotional staff and actors, we sourced a selection of professional actors who fitted the part. The shortlisted actors attended auditions with our client London, where the two most suitable were cast in the roles.
Sometimes, the brief for a promotional event is so specific that, not only are we asked to source professional
performers, but they should also have specific skills or ability due to the nature of the event. In March we were approached by Disney with the challenge of sourcing magicians. We needed magicians who could conduct a variety of magical tricks to perform within foyers in major cinemas across the country. We had to source 8 magicians, who could perform a variety of family-friendly magic tricks. They had to be accustomed to live performances, be DBS checked and be able to fit the Victorian magician costumes provided. Because this was such a particular brief, we used industry contacts to source magicians from the esteemed Magic Circle. This ensured that their magic was of the highest standard, and they delighted adults and children alike in 14 live events throughout the UK.
