Our brief

We were briefed to cast a male performer to take on the role of a character from Dark Souls II. Working at the Eurogamer exhibition, Earls Court. Our performer would be required to wear a full suit of armour, and stay in character while interacting with gamers attending the event.

How we did it

Our biggest challenge was to find a performer with the exact measurements to fit the suit of armour. Fortunately we could rely on our database to run a detailed search of the very specific requirements, and we found our very own knight standing at 6f' 2", with a 42" chest, 33" waist and a 23" head. It was clear the part was made for him, and with vast experience in a variety of costumed roles he was the ideal choice! Over the 4 day event our knight stayed in character, interacted with consumers and even stepped out into London rush hour causing a fair amount of attention!

The results

  • Increased awareness of Dark Souls II
  • Bringing a character from the game to life
  • Interactive presence at Eurogamer
  • Media coverage, including a picture of the man himself in the Metro

Client feedback

"I just wanted to let you know that we had fantastic feedback about Andy! He was professional, stayed in character and despite the challenging costume demands kept a great energy throughout"
