The Brief

Our brief was to supply Costumed characters and Brand Ambassadors to help promote the launch of Despicable Me 2 at two large scales events.

How we did it

We had to source costume character staff who were 5ft or under, due to the costumes height requirements. So this in itself was a challenge, but thanks to our sophisticated database we could profile staff based on height and experience within this role. The BA's job was to promote the film, but also chaperone the 'Minions' as visibility was limited. Working at The BUPA Great Manchester run, our team of Minions helped at the start of the race and encouraged all the participants (including quite a few famous faces) along the way. For added awareness there was a giant branded hot air balloon on site, which drew in the crowds and ensured the Minions were not the only attraction! The locations changed for the next day, as the children's race took place setting off from the Etihad stadium with a great response to our Minions throughout the day!
